Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream is double the fun with hunks of chocolate-flavored chips and pieces of cookie dough in the vanilla ice cream.
I like the fact that the Breyers ice cream is more natural than the high fructose corn syrup found in Skinny Cow. And you might be surprised by how many calories you save by choosing Breyers over Ben & Jerry’s.
I had a friend who used to raid the refrigerator at night eating rolls of cookie dough. She would have loved this ice cream! Eating the Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for my review reminded me of the hot chocolate chip cookie sandwiches with vanilla ice cream in the middle. Add a little hot fudge and you will experience the true meaning of the word gluttony, I mean ecstasy.
While some Breyers flavors are gluten free, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough flavor is not gluten free because of the wheat in the cookie dough pieces.
Here are a few things I learned about the Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough from my review:

In terms of taste, I like the taste of brown sugar in the Breyers cookie dough. I also love Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough ice cream. Ben & Jerry’s always has a rich flavor and delightful texture. But with the chocolate chip cookie dough, I don’t think one stands out as superior. They are not skimpy with the chunks of cookie dough.
Since the Breyers has fewer calories and less fat, I recommend it unless you want to throw caution to the wind. The Breyers contains 110 fewer calories in a half cup serving compared to the Breyers Ice Cream: Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
For taste, I give Breyers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough a four out of five stars.
