Renown baked, Cake Man Raven, recently apologized to the local, Brooklyn, national, and international communities for his most recent troubles with the health department. Cake Man sent a full letter to Grub Street which posted the apology online.
In the apology, Cake Man accepted “total responsibility for [his] bakery not being in compliance.” He added, “Going forward, I am in the process of restructuring my management team and I will do everything in my power to ensure that my products and my bakery meet the highest standards of excellence.”
He finished his statements saying “I want to assure all of my customers that the quality of my cake has not been – and will not be – compromised.”
The public apology is a bold attempt by the legally embattled baker who has suffered a slew of negative media over the past year.
As we reported recently, the cupcake culinarian to celebrities like Oprah, 50 Cent, and Robert DeNiro, is currently battling several lawsuits against him as well as fines from the Department of Labor for trimming workers wages.
Hopefully this letter marks the next chapter in the successful entrepreneur’s evolution, and not the flailing of a drowning man.
