Questions and suspicions by local residents of Frederick Maryland, and now by others on a nationwide scale are steadily beginning to mount over a possible contaminating cancer cluster near Fort Detrick Military Base.
The cancer cluster and a contaminating carcinogen known as Agent Orange, may be responsible for widespread cancers which may have already affected more than several hundred residents in the nearby area and possibly spanning over several decades now.
The possibility of a festering and lingering cancer cluster which may have an involvement in hundreds of deaths, has brought on a local outcry by citizens in the nearby Frederick and Maryland area, is starting to spark nationwide interest, as well as an intense investigation by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, which was discovered as well as initiated by one man in particular, Tampa Pastor Randy White.
The outbreak of this story begin as Pastor Randy White, a once local resident of Frederick Maryland, and who has been grieving the loss of his own daughter Kristen Renee to brain cancer in April 2008, discovered a surprising pattern and possible environmental cancer link.
After Randy White’s eldest daughter Angie Pieper was diagnosed with a cancerous stomach tumor some time shortly thereafter, White was faced with not only concern, but curiosity as well when his ex-wife Debra Cross was diagnosed and stricken with Stage IV Renal Cell Carcinoma.
White, having contracted the services of numerous specialists as well as cancer experts at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Institute to conduct intensive studies and with his own money estimated to be well over $250,000, has since learned that the parallel of his family’s sickness is definitely environmental and not genetic.
Furthermore, White has hired legal counsel to begin a class action lawsuit against Fort Detrick, on behalf of he and his family and other local Frederick residents who have also been victimized by cancer, as demonstrated by his new website, Fighting for Frederick. Thus, for White the fight for life as well as vindication for the terrible loss that he himself has suffered as well as the citizens and the people of Frederick is only just beginning, but it is one that he and the people are determined to win regardless of time and expense.
