Many folks have seen these greenmarkets in and around neighborhoods and they simply pass them by. But if you’re frustrated with the lack of freshness or same old staleness from your local grocery store, these greenmarkets may be just the solution. The Carroll Gardens Greenmarket happens every Sunday from 8am – 4pm and features all kinds of fresh products.
Carroll Gardens Greenmarket has all manner of regional products including items from Cheryl Rogowski, who grownyc.org (1) reminds us is “the first farmer to win a McArthur Genius Grant.” There are also selections from “award-winning Vermont cheesemaker Consider Bardwell,” who have been around for 150 years. Customers can also find grass fed meat products, organic milks and yogurts, affordably priced vegetables, and beautiful flowers from Hector Perez.
Carroll Gardens Greenmarket is winding down it’s fourth successful season and you can bet that once the ice thaws the local farmers will be back for a fifth year.
Carroll Gardens Greenmarket runs through December on Carroll Street & Smith Street.
