This week Cassandra sent me an email about her latest gig and I thought I would pass it on to anybody who is seeking events:
In it she says:
“Thank you to those of you who have already supported Clear Blue Tuesday either by going to see the film at the Quad, or buying a ticket online from wherever you are. You are the heroes of the indie revolution. The Q&A sessions have been amazing with the audience after the showings, and we are certainly the controversial item du jour, what with our NY Times and Huffington Post and Perez Hilton press, and Variety, Time Out, and other reviews. . . See the film!
Meanwhile, I’m presenting a brand new series at Caffe Vivaldi starting this coming Wednesday. It’s no cover, it’s laid back, it’s an awesome space to hang and drink and eat, and my two amazingly gifted friends are joining me for the first installment of the series: NLX (Natasha Alexandra) and Randy Stern
“Origins”- The Songwriters and The Songs that Made Them
Wednesday, Sept 8
9 – 11 PM
Caffe Vivaldi (32 Jones St, off Bleecker, West Village)
NO COVER, tip jar
Featuring NLX and Randy Stern and Cassandra Kubinski (the one sending you this email :-)
The idea is that we songwriters who are out there making music happen these days, all over the country, will sing not only our songs, but the tunes that are in our “musical DNA”. I’ll interview each songwriter about where the real roots of their musical leanings begin, and we’ll all venture there together to hear them interpret those tunes NOW. Hope you can check us out!
HAPPY LABOR DAY everyone, be safe, enjoy- I’m off to Shelter Island, anyone gonna be there?”
Cassandra Kubinski, Vocalist and Songwriter
