Jeff Probst is back with two new tribes on the Pacific side of Nicaragua for thirty-nine days of Survivor. As they are lead on the set they are already separated into two groups. Jeff sends them looking for a medallion and everyone scatters as they search through trees, water and Brenda wins the first challenge. Then Jeff separates the tribes by age. Older tribe wears blue buffs and they are called Espada, the younger tribe wears yellow and are called La Flor.
Immediately the first thing hinges on the medallion that represents power. Jeff gives Brenda a chance to use the medallion immediately; she can keep the power or trade it for flint which makes fire and fishing equipment and cooking utensils. They decide to trade and give the older tribe the medallion.
The first day is over and Jimmy Johnson was throwing up, chewed up by bugs and did not sleep. He agreed that he never expected it to be so difficult.
On the younger tribe, Kelly B let the rest of the tribe know about her being an amputee. Now they do not want to keep her too long because of the sympathy vote factor. So much for an affliction!
They made it to day three and it is time for their first immunity challenge. Part of the team has to bucket brigade water up a ladder; the next group has to construct a pathway using gutters to fill another bucket that will drop a bag full of puzzle pieces. When the puzzle pieces drop the rest of the tribe has to construct the puzzle and be first to win. The younger tribe was first to win and now someone has to go home from the older tribe. As they mulled it over, Jimmy Johnson told the tribe that no jury would ever give him a million dollars, but he would help them win.
The tribal council was held and the older tribe voted out Wendy who spoke out in her own defense at the council meeting and fell on her sword.
