Day One started off things in grand style with 855 Neopoints, “Woodland Archer Cookies” and “Festive Ornament”. The cookies are an edible item so they are one-time-use and the ornament is classified as Toy. They are both great looking items that any seasonal restocker will want to start buying in mass quantities when the prices drop. This event lasts all month long, doesn’t cost anything to participate in but is limited to main accounts. Collecting on side accounts is not allowed per the Advent Calendar page. This is something that you are going to want to collect every day; you never know when an Avatar will be awarded or a Paint Brush be handed out! The direct link to the portal is right here: Neopets Advent Calendar.
Other past Advent items that saw huge spikes include “Snot Covered Cookies”, “Golden Key Cookie” and “Pretty Snowflake Cookie”. These are not retired yet so you can still find some good deals on them. For ornaments you can check out the “Fir Tree Ornament”, “Striped Holiday Ornament” and “Bartamus Ornament” but they are from Y8 so they are retired but since they are not a food item you don’t have to worry about the stock on them running low for a while. To see other items given out by past Advent Calendars, visit these articles: “Neopets 2006 Advent Calendar”, “Neopets 2007 Advent Calendar”, “Neopets 2008 Advent Calendar” and “Neopets 2009 Advent Calendar”.
Since this is the first of the month, make sure you collect your freebies by visiting the “Freebies For You!” page. You get 2,000 NP and food items (this month I got “Caramel Acara On A Stick”, “Fruity Faerie Fingers”, “Eyrie Pancake” and “Meat Lasagne”). Not everyone is going to get the same food items but generally the prices on some of the common foods that are given out will cause a temporary price drop which means they are the perfect items to hoard.
