Acquiring a foreign language at an early age could be very beneficial for your child; in the global workplace of the future, knowledge of Chinese may be an asset.
The Xiao Long Center in Boerum Hill offers Mandarin language and culture classes for babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 12. These classes are held at the Creative Arts Center on Atlantic Avenue with additional courses available at the Open House Nursery School in Cobble Hill and various locations in Brooklyn Heights. Another new school, Lango Brooklyn, teaches Spanish and French as well as Mandarin to children from 18 months to 7 years old.
These centers offer courses that teach language through play, stories, nursery rhymes, games and art activities. For more information, contact Jennifer Lee at the Xiao Long Center email@example.com or Sharon Ng at Lango Brooklyn firstname.lastname@example.org.
