Millions and millions of people recognize Chris Jericho for his accomplishments in the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Jericho was the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, uniting the WWE Heavyweight Title with the WCW (World Championship Wrestling) Heavyweight Title. Jericho also holds the record for most reigns as the Intercontinental Champion and has had many memorable matches. Jericho’s success however has not just been limited to his WWE accolades. The wrestler has proven to be a multi-dimensional entertainer as a musician, television star, and author.
Chris Jericho- the Musician
Fans of the metal group Fozzy knows Chris Jericho as the band’s front-man. Fozzy’s roots stem back to 1999 when Jericho met Stuck Mojo guitarist Rich Ward. By 2000 Fozzy released their self-titled debut album. 10 years later Fozzy has three more albums to their name, 2002’s Happenstance, All That Remains released in 2005, and the most recent Chasing the Grail. Happenstance gave Fozzy the group’s first Billboard success, landing 34th on the Independent Albums chart. Chasing the Grail brought Fozzy even more success, spending three weeks on the Heatseekers Albums chart, peaking in the sixth spot.
Chris Jericho- Television Star
Chris Jericho has left VH1 audiences laughing with his witty commentary on the I Love television series, a series looking back on previous decades. Jericho also made a guest appearance on That Metal Show, a talk show focused on metal music. Most recently Jericho hosted a new ABC game show called Downfall. The game show contained a unique premise. The game is played on the rooftop of a 100 story building where contestants have the opportunity to win various prizes. Replicas of these prizes are placed on a conveyer belt and the contestants have to answer questions before the prizes take a downfall from the roof. Unfortunately, Downfall has been canceled, according to TV Series Finale. The reason for the cancellation involves the show being counterproductive to Disney’s, ABC’s parent company, environmental friendly agenda.
Chris Jericho- the Author
Chris Jericho’s autobiography A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex, released in 2008, added “bestselling author” to the credentials Jericho can list on his resume. The autobiography documents Jericho’s journey from a kid with a dream to becoming a WWE superstar. A Lion’s Tale: Around the World in Spandex has been well received in the literature world. In fact, Publishers Weekly hailed the book as “funny, insightful and compulsively readable autobiography.” Jericho will release a second autobiography, Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps, in February 2011.
