You want your kids to stay out of trouble as much as possible, especially when it’s cold outside. Here is a great project for them to do. It should take about ten minutes and allow you to get something done.
Here are the needed materials for the craft:
A school picture
Glue (It should be the bottled white glue for it to work.)
Yarn or string, so that you can put it on your Christmas tree.
Paper bag or thick paper with a winter dressed bear or figure on it for the kids to color. It should have a cut out center to it and a back side in case that the craft gets turned around.
Here are the following steps for the project:
Step 1: Have the child(ren) color the bear or figure. This way they don’t ruin the school picture that will be inserted in the middle.
Step 2: Cut the bear out, along with the center. This way, so the picture can be seen when the craft is hanging on the tree.
Step 3: Glue the non-colored side of the ornament so that way you can affix the yarn and picture. Make sure that the front side can show the picture.
Step 4: Wait for the project to dry. This will insure that there isn’t a big mess and that the craft will not stick to the floor.
Once this project is dry, you will be able to hang it on your christmas tree. I did this craft in elementary school and it was a lot of fun. I think your will enjoy it also.
