The City of Mountain View Fire Department is having a Fire Safety Month Photo Contest. The deadline to enter is October 31 and photos must reflect this year’s fire prevention theme: Smoke Alarms, A Sound You Can Live With.
Only entries from Mountain View residents will be accepted and they must show you or your family checking a smoke alarm. The goal of the contest is to encourage residents to test their smoke alarms to make sure they work properly.
Entries should be emailed to email@example.com and the file name should include the entrant’s last name (i.e.. taylor.jpg). With your entry, include your first and last name, address and number of people that live at your home. The subject of the email should say Photo Contest and digital files may be 9″x7.25″ at 300 dpi or 2700 pixels by 2175 pixels at 72 dpi and must be in .jpg or .jpeg format. The deadline is midnight on October 31. One entry per residence.
The MVFD will post all of the entries on their flicker page at www.flickr.com/photos/mtnviewfire/ and the winner will be announced on the MVFD website and on their Facebook page. The winner will receive a private tour of the Mountain View Fire Department and ice cream with the firefighters.
