When shopping at Dollar General, I like to try out new things. I recently purchased the Clover Valley Ranch Dressing and Dip. It was only 75 cents for a bottle. It was not even worth that little amount sadly.
This ranch dressing comes in a 12 fl. oz. bottle. I will admit the price is good for this size bottle. Ranch dressing is used at my house on salads, as a dip, and on sandwiches. We were out at home so I thought this would be a frugal way to replace it. I was wrong.
It has 110 calories for 2 tbsp of dressing. It also has 12g of fat, 10mg cholesterol, 260mg sodium, and 0g of protein. It does have eggs and milk products if anyone is allergic to these items in your family.
This dressing has a cap that unscrews on it. It has a huge opening with no pour spout of any kind. When you try to pour it out, you end up with way more than you wanted coming out of the top of the bottle. It makes a huge mess. I advise using it on the side so you don’t ruin your food by getting too much of this dressing.
The product tastes awful. I don’t honestly know how to describe it besides that it has a very tart flavor. It is not the normal taste of ranch dressing. It is not something that I would recommend to anyone. I will be actually throwing away the rest of this bottle. This did not save me money since it ruined a salad with the awful taste and ended up being throw in the trash.
This Clover Valley ranch dressing gets a very negative review from me for two reasons. It tastes awful and the cap is made awful so it comes out way too fast. We will not be purchasing this again.
