If you have a sweet pooch who just loves getting dressed up for Halloween maybe more than they should, your pup may have a place at the Cobble Hill Halloween Dog Costume Parade. Taking place October 30 at 3:30 pm, pooches and their owners are invited to dress up as best as they can and take the royal strut in the hopes of helping underprivileged kids in Brooklyn.
Georgia Goldendoodle (1) the sweet little pup announced, or, I guess channeled the announcement on the Cobble Hill Blog (2) the news of this pending event. “We’ll be parading along Warren and Congress Streets and Verandah Place,” says Georgia. “We won’t be in Cobble Hill Park, unless we are invited.” It’s good to know that the canines involved in this event are so sensical and logical.
Georgia continues, “We’ll be having a costume contest. We’ll suggest donations of $10-$20 per entry to go to Seeds in the Middle, a healthy child initiative that will allow underprivileged kids in Brooklyn to play soccer and get fit.”
There will be food at Breuckelen Restaurant and “Beastly Bite and the Dog Whisperer of Prospect Park and Book Court will give prizes,” so come on out and support a good cause! Who knows you could even meet and speak with the fun and funny Georgia!
