Cold and flu season is here, so make sure to stock up on supplies before you get sick. When you get sick, the very last thing you want to do is go to the store. Have all supplies ready, so when you get sick you can stay home.
Cold and Flu Medicine
Have plenty of cold and flu medicine. The best medicine is the medicine that comes in pill form. You are not bogged down in sugar, and other items, that add to the liquid medicine. It is also easier to take a proper dose. The pills do not get crusty, like the liquid versions can.
If your throat hurts, there is a medicine that will numb your throat. It is great for sore throats. If you have an extreme cough, it is very important to get it under control. You can hurt yourself by coughing too hard.
Soup is the perfect food when you are sick. It is easy to make, warm, and just makes you feel better. Stock up when you are feeling good, so you can grab the soup of your choice when you are sick. You never know what type of soup you will feel like when you are sick, so choose many different flavors.
I am sick, and I know exactly who made me sick. A classmate of mine had come to school three days ago, saying how sick she was, and she needed some more medicine.
OK, maybe I am not 100% sure she made me sick, but I am pretty sure. If you are sick, stay home. People are most contagious when they first get sick, so this is the most important time to stay home and get better.
Don’t be selfish, stay home.
For some reason there is a culture that being sick is not acceptable. In my last job in a regular office, they limited the amount of times you could get sick. So naturally, people would come to work sick all the time. Because of this, I got sick at this workplace about three times more than I do on a regular basis.
It is a tough choice when your work is mandating you go to work sick, but make every effort you can, not to do so. Stay home, and get better.
