Palo Alto residents in the College Terrace neighborhood have been waiting for over a year to have their library back. On November 9, they will get that wish. The Palo Alto City Library closed this branch in July of 2009 to make renovations on the historic building. Among some of the changes are a new roof, an upgraded electrical system, and air conditioning.
The City is also holding a 2-hour pre-opening celebration on Saturday, November 6. From 2pm until 4pm that day, you will get a sneak peak at the new library. The library will not be fully operational yet, but you will get a first look at the renovations.
The library is located at 2300 Wellesley Street. The library’s hours of operation will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10am until 6pm. For more information about the reopening or the celebration, contact the Library Director, Diane Jennings, at (650) 329-2516.
