When the 2010 Emmy Awards air Sunday night, an evening full of color and style trends will dominate the red carpet event. As nominees and stars step out of their limos and into the spotlight, it will be an all-out fashion frenzy. Fans have been given a preview what colors and styles they will see by Entertainment Tonight’s Steven Cojocaru, celebrity fashion expert.
It’s always a haute fashion show when nominees and celebrities pose for cameras on the red carpet in glittering, glamorous evening gowns by top designers. Entertainment Tonight’s Cojo took a few minutes to give a sneak peek into what Emmy Award watchers will see Sunday night.
Cojo said the one color that will dominate the awards ceremony will be red. There’s a good chance Kyra Sedgwick of “The Closure” will be wearing a red gown. Cojo adds that gold, light gold, or bronze will be the color Heidi Klum is likely to wear. Julianna Margulies of the “Good Wife” and “Glee’s” Lea Michele would be perfect in sapphire blue.
Trends we can expect to see is a “tug of war” between strapless and one-shoulder fashion. Strapless will win, according Cojo.
Styles for an actress like Marg Helgenberger of “CSI” may be in a daring slip and lots of lace. That’s a popular style for the red carpet as well for this year’s Emmy Awards, Cojo said.
Vibrant colors and style will dominate the red carpet as the stars make their way to the awards ceremony. More fashion scoops revealed when the 2010 Emmy Awards air on NBC Sunday, August 29 at 8:00 p.m./ET.
