There are a lot of interesting changes in the 2011 lineup of cars. A preview of the 2011 vehicles shows that many of the auto makers have decided to try and find ways to excite and entice the auto buying public back to the dealerships in hopes of garnering a sale.
The 2011 Dodge Avenger, for example, has taken on a closer look to the Dodge Charger. This is not by mistake. The folks at Mopar know that the public likes the looks of the Charger but they also know that in the economy today, they had to make something that was also affordable for the people that wanted a Charger but did not have the budget for one. The performance is obviously not as good as a Charger but the trade off is that the gas mileage is very good for a sporty looking vehicle.
No 2011 vehicle preview would be complete without a look at the Ford Edge. It has all of the glitz and glamor that you will want and enough electronic whistles and bells to make it vie for the top contender in the category of having anything that you might need in a vehicle.
If your wallet is looking for Miles Per Gallon, the Chevrolet Volt might be the one that you should consider. It boasts up to 127 Miles per gallon. Granted this is a combination of using the electric portion and letting the Internal Combustion engine kick in as needed, But still, getting 127 miles to the gallon is awesome. Your experience will likely be different because the numbers will vary depending on how you drive the car, as with any mileage numbers. These numbers were directly from a Motor Trend Magazine test motortrend.com.
The Jeep Wranglers and other models have gotten a bit of a change. In fact it is almost like the company gave them a face lift in order to compete with the lines of some of the imports that are coming into the market this year. It has been made to be a little sexier than it’s preceding models.
The highly awaited Chevrolet Cruze is another gas miser. This year’s model with the 1.4 liter turbo and six speed transmission can get a fairly impressive 44 miles per gallon in the highway. Not as good as the Volt to be sure but a lot better than the estimates of some of it’s competitors.
No matter how you look at it the 2011 vehicle preview is full of a lot of very interesting developments.
