The Board of Supervisors has been gracious enough to accept a gift on behalf of Midtown Terrace Playground. The resolution authorized the Recreation and Park Dept to buy furnishings and equipment for the play area. The fund of $155,000 will be split between 4 other playgrounds in the SF area including the one in Corona Heights.
Over the past several years, there have been many community members banding together to improve the state of the entire neighborhood. Due to efforts by Corona Height’s neighbors, the park is well on its way to becoming one of the best in the city.
If you like the way the neighborhood looks, and you want to keep it that way, it’s important to get involved with local neighborhood associations and to write letters to the Board of Supervisors. Your voice will be heard and movement will be made toward completing projects that citizens care about.
