Today’s God Calling message reminds me that I am a coworker with the Lord. Just like John the Baptist, we are to prepare the way for Him. But, it’s Jesus who does the saving. Jesus said that He would draw all men unto Himself. It’s a two- fold message for me…
1. You can tell somebody about Jesus, what he’s done in your life, and how much he loves them, but faith is a gift from God. Jesus said, “I’ll draw all men to me. And I’ll save whom I’ll save
2. The greatest thing you can do for anyone – be they unsaved, unbelieving, believer, rich, poor, whatever- is to pray for him/her. Prayer always prepares the way; and not only that-those unseen “forces” in the Heavenlies are moved, affected, by our prayers. Each and every prayer, every one, is heard. That’s one of the reasons I like to pray, not only the Lord’s Prayer every morning, but one in which I lift us all and ask God’s blessing over us-the whole world. See, you can affect everyone in the world with one prayer. There’s a song, “He’s got the whole world in His hands”-so do we!! That’s a very powerful and formidable revelation.
Father, in Jesus’ Name, I lift my children and grandchildren, born and unborn, my brothers and sisters by blood or circumstance and their children and grandchildren, born and unborn, my neighbors, my friends, and my enemies and their children and grandchildren, born and unborn. Lord, I lift myself to you. You know my heart, Jesus. Give me yours; it’s the only one that’s true. Thank you for every thing you’ve given me, and for everything you haven’t. Put your hands around the whole family of believers who believe in you and call on your name, and work your perfect will in our lives. Thank you for healing in my body, my heart, my mind, and my soul. Thank you for the peace to find strength inside and for the strength to seek your peace in my life. Thank you for your mercy, your grace, and your love. Give me the strength to do the things I have to do today, and the grace to do them with your love. I ask all and receive all in Jesus’ name. Amen.
