If you are using Xoops to create your website, you can create and manage your site users. With Xoops, you have full control over your site users. You can edit the site users at any time. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to create new users in Xoops and I am going to show you how to manage the users on your Xoops site. You will have to be logged in as admin to get started. Then go to the control panel and click the Edit Users button. That will load the panel that allows you to create and manage users.
Creating New Users for Your Site in Xoops
Let’s begin this tutorial with creating new users for your Xoops site. On the page you are on, you will need to scroll down to the Add User section. In this section, you will need to fill in the fields you want. All of the fields are not required. The only fields that are required are the Name, Email, and Password fields. All of the other fields are optional.
So, go through the fields and fill in what you want. Most of the stuff can be filled in by the user once they login. But you can fill in what you want. When you are ready to create the user, you can click the Submit button. The new site user will then be added to your database. If you need to create more users, you can repeat the steps above.
Managing Your Xoops Site Users
Now that you know how to create users, I will show you how to manage users. You will need to load the Edit Users page if you have navigated away from it. In the top part of the page, you will see the Edit User panel. This is where you will select the user you want to edit.
In the nickname field, you will need to drop the box down and select the user you want to edit. Then you will need to drop the second box down and select the Modify option. Click the Go button to continue.
On the following page, you will see the fields you first seen when you was creating the user. To edit the user, go through the fields and change what you need to. Then click the Submit button to save your changes.
If you need to delete a user from your site in Xoops, you will need to go back to the Edit Users panel. Drop the nickname box down and select the user you want to delete. Drop the box below that down and select the Delete User option. Click the Go button to delete the user. You will be asked to confirm and then the user will be deleted from your site.
