On display at Smack Mellon in DUMBO through November 21st, The Uneven Intensities of Duration is a collection of “multi-dimensional charcoal drawings” that depict “psychological topographies” by Charlotte Schulz.
Like the other solo exhibit currently on display at Smack Mellon, Gallery Cruise by Eteam, Schulz’s work explores “the relationship between space and time” as well as what is “real and imagined.”
Schulz utilizes physical bends and folds in the paper to add several more artistic dimensions to her work. Choosing to depict images of historical tragedy such as 9/11 and Martin Luther King’s assassination, she accesses our personal, emotional experience which has been so significantly impacted by these events.
On display for only a couple more weeks, these two exhibitions should not be missed. Support Smack Mellon! Support DUMBO arts!
