This week I watched series premiere’s of two CW shows and the premiere of season two for Vampire Diaries’. I enjoyed all three shows and can’t wait to see more. The first show I saw was Hellcats on Wednesday, Vampire Diaries’ on Thursday followed by Nikita.
Hellcats are similar to CW’s show One Tree Hill. The main character played by Alyson Michalka reminds me of the Hilary Burton on One Tree Hill based off of looks and personality. The show is based off of Marti, a college law student that had a scholarship canceled without her knowledge. Marti found cheerleading as a way to stay in school but she was one of those people to poke fun at cheerleading. She made the squad but now she has to deal with adjusting to a life she thought would never be hers. There are two actors on the show from One Tree Hill and the show has Tom Welling (Smallville) as an executive producer.
Vampire Diaries’ was amazing and very interesting. It picked up where Katherine returned and showed the fate of Jeremy and John. The episode had all characters except for the history teacher. Nina Dobrev did a good job playing two characters. It had a nice amount of drama and my hopes are to see more explanations of certain people.
Nikita ended with a bang. This female assassin is on a mission to take down the secret government agency that takes young criminals and force them to work for them. Nikita was the only one to escape the agency and she wants everyone else freed. Nikita played by Maggie Q is very smooth, calm and slick when she’s out taking care of business. She is very tough and will give us a good season of action.
