The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup had more notable results in Week 3. Although the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup was led by Jennifer Grey in Weeks 1 and 2, a new leader emerged in the judges’ results. In fact, it was Audrina Patridge who made the move up, continuing her rise from a mixed opening week. But in addition to Patridge, the rest of the field also closed the gap, as only two contestants scored below 20 points. This leaves the dancers more closely bunched together at the moment.
Patridge was among those who did poorly in Week 1, but finished second in the judges’ results last Monday. On “Story Night,” she went a step further, getting a 26 out of 30 for her waltz to a dead Marine. This made her the high scorer of the night, overtaking leader Jennifer Grey.
With Patridge leading the group, Grey, Brandy and Rick Fox were each looking up at her. Grey scored a 24 once again, yet it was not enough to lead this time. As for Brandy and Fox, they returned to the top after mixed performances last week, as they both also scored 24 points.
There were other notable improvements among the Stars, as Kurt Warner made his biggest move up. Warner got up to a 23 with his Foxtrot, tying with Kyle Massey. Florence Henderson and The Situation even got 20 points for the first time, which could help their case tonight.
Yet the bottom of the lineup was filled by a familiar face. Margaret Cho struggled once again, getting the lowest results of the night with an 18. Without David Hasselhoff or Michael Bolton around, Cho might not be able to stick around any longer.
However, the most drastic downturn belonged to Bristol Palin, as she had her worst results of the competition. After rising near the top of the charts in Week 2, Palin’s Foxtrot about a homeless person sent her back down with a 19. Cho might keep Palin from being eliminated tonight, yet she likely can’t afford a similar performance next week if she makes it there.
At least according to the judges’ scores, the lineup is tightening up, with Patridge trying to become a serious contender. Grey, Brandy and Fox remain among the leaders, while Massey and Warner are knocking on the door, and Henderson, The Situation, Cho and Palin are just trying to stay alive.
One of them is likely to be out of the lineup tonight, as the third Dancing With the Stars results show starts at 9 p.m. est on ABC.
