The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup had Jennifer Grey as an early favorite. Once the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup came out, Grey was confirmed as a show favorite. Grey is one of the few contestants to have actual experience on the dance floor, albeit from a movie. However, her moves with Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing may be among the most well-known in pop culture. Last night, Jennifer Grey showed the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup that she still had moves left over.
The very first night of Season 11 had the 12 contestants introduce themselves, and begin to impress the judges. Since the next night would actually eliminate one of them off the bat, they had to make a good first impression. According to the judges, Jennifer Grey made the biggest one early on.
Among the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup, Grey led the judges’ scores with a 24 out of 30. Naturally, her Viennese waltz was a tribute to Swayze and Dirty Dancing, as she performed to “These Arms Of Mine.” Swayze was a contestant on the show years back and could not win, but Grey is expected to do better.
Although Jennifer Grey got the high scores, others in the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup impressed. Usually, an athlete winds up as a big contender, and Rick Fox may fill that role in Season 11. Fox got a 22 out of 30, with girlfriend and actress Eliza Dushku cheering on.
The second-highest scores of the night went to Brandy and Kyle Massey, who each got a 23. However, no one else from the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup finished in the 20s, leaving a lot of contenders to be the first one voted out tonight.
While Jennifer Grey, Brandy, Rick Fox and Kyle Massey can likely relax, the likes of The Situation, David Hasselhoff, Margaret Cho, Michael Bolton and others may be on the fence. The Situation, Cho and Hasselhoff tied for dead last with 15 points, while Bolton had 16, and Audrina Patridge, Florence Henderson and Kurt Warner settled for 18. Bristol Palin had a solid debut by comparison, getting up to a 19.
Season 11 might be another long road toward getting rid of the lower-ranked dancers, while the favorites just cruise along until the finals. Last night seemed to confirm that Jennifer Grey could lead the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup until then, although Fox, Brandy and Massey may have something to say about it.
But first, the process of elimination begins tonight, as the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup goes down to 11 in the two-hour results show starting at 8 p.m..
