The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup is halfway through after the October 19 results. As expected, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup saw predictable results on October 19, with elimination falling upon a pretender. At this point, Jennifer Grey, Audrina Patridge, Brandy, Rick Fox and Kyle Massey appear to be the favorites, with Florence Henderson, Kurt Warner and Bristol Palin as longer shots. But after Monday, it looked like Palin might have been the one to face elimination next. Instead, the Dancing With the Stars lineup lost someone else on the October 19 results show.
Since Palin had the lowest judges scores on Monday night, she was favored to be eliminated. Yet she and her family still have enough fans to keep her around, as it turns out. Not only did she stay alive, she wasn’t even among the bottom three, for the first time since Week 2.
The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup saw a surprising bottom three on the October 19 results. Florence Henderson being there was not a surprise, although she had her best scores of the year on Monday. But Rick Fox was also there, despite being among the leading dancers in Season 11.
What’s more, none other than Jennifer Grey rounded out the top 3, despite being ahead almost all year. Grey did not lead the judges’ scores for only the second time in Season 11, and was apparently punished for it in the voting. However, with both Grey and Fox in the bottom three, it made it more obvious as to who would face elimination.
Although Henderson had been relatively respectable, and was far from the worst dancer in Season 11, it was time for her to go. With her departure in the October 19 results show, the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup is now down to seven, with five more weeks left to go.
The action deviated a bit from the expected formula, as Brandy got the high scores, Palin survived being in the basement, and Grey tumbled for the first time. This could be a warning sign that things will be tight in the end after all, as the second half of Season 11 nears.
Will this week signal that the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup could face more upheaval in the weeks ahead? Technically, the results show on October 19 eliminated someone who was bound to leave soon anyway, as Palin may have gotten just a one-week stay of execution. Grey is still the projected favorite, although she could be more motivated to bounce back next week.
The rest of the Dancing With the Stars lineup will attempt to close the gap further, starting Monday at 8 pm est on ABC.
