The Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results have become national news. If next week’s Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results are as controversial, it’s hard to see where the outrage might end. Bristol Palin has already sparked such an outcry by being there, that one man actually shot his television. Therefore, if she actually wins on Tuesday, there’s no limit to how mad her family’s enemies will be. Although the country just came off a very contentious election, the final results for the Dancing With the Stars lineup could have a heated election of their own.
Even those who didn’t want Bristol Palin in Season 11 didn’t think it would get this far. Yet she will be out there with Jennifer Grey and Kyle Massey in the finale, to the delight and disgust of people across the nation.
This final Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup isn’t ideal for many viewers. Yet the results so far have sparked an outcry and controversy that the show hasn’t faced before. For now, it is good for the show’s ratings, and has made it the most talked about show on television.
Of course, not everyone who is watching is very happy about it. The peak may have come on Tuesday in Wisconsin, as a man took his anger over Palin to another level. A 67-year-old man became so mad about Palin, and her mother, that he shot his TV and even turned the gun on his wife.
Although Sarah Palin’s supporters are often caricatured as trigger-happy and angry, anti-Palin sentiment may be just as extreme in some circles. As such, when the final Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup results come out, some kind of extreme reaction is guaranteed.
All of these heated emotions are over a dancing show between B and C-list celebrities, however. American Idol doesn’t even generate this kind of backlash for their results, even when Adam Lambert lost. Yet it may be too late for many viewers to get that kind of perspective now.
Longtime fans are upset that the Dancing With the Stars 2010 lineup doesn’t have Brandy, Audrina Patridge or Rick Fox left. But the fanbase has disagreed with past results before, and have not usually threatened to jump ship. Since this involves a Palin, however, the vitriol has gotten more hysterical.
If Palin finally loses on Tuesday night, there will be some level of celebrating and disappointment. But it will be nothing compared to the joy and rage that will happen if she wins. At that point, whatever happens could make the gun-touting Wisconsin man seem sane by comparison.
Palin and the rest of the Dancing With the Stars lineup will still try to block it out, starting Monday at 8 pm est on ABC.
