Monday night on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars”, get set for rock and roll week, a rockin’ new dance floor-and two dances for reach of the remaining 7 couples. It will be a marathon of a night as the contestants perform a main dance routine and then compete in a dance marathon to some rockin’ tunes. So what dances will the stars dance on week 6 of “Dancing With the Stars Season 11”? Here are some spoilers:
According to Pure DWTS, the week 6 main dance will alternate between the paso doble and the tango. Here is what the 7 remaining stars will dance for their main dance of the night:
Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya – Paso Doble
Brandy and Maks Chmerkovskiy –Tango
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke –Tango
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer – Tango
Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough – Paso Doble
Audrina Patridge, and Tony Dovolani – Paso Doble
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas – Tango
Then it’s time for a dance marathon- rock and roll style. Why do I picture the old “Happy Days” episode, when a tired Fonzie steps it up at a dance marathon and wins it with Mrs. C.? Except in this case replace a leather jacketed Fonzie with a spunky, towheaded Derek Hough. To the tune of Kiss’ “Rock and Roll All NIte” (for some reason I also picture one of the couples dancing to this song- probably because it’s so obvious).
So what songs will the stars dance to this week? For what seems like the first time this season, that spoiler information has been kept tightly under wraps (perhaps the stars were told to zip their lips after last week’s TV Theme Week songs were leaked days before the live show ran).
But this week you can look forward to seeing a classic rock band on Tuesday night’s results show.
According to the official website for the rock band Heart, Ann and Nancy Wilson and Co. will appear on “DWTS” this week to perform their 1970’s hit sing, “Barracuda”.
Now that should be a rockin’ time!
You can catch the Dancing With the Stars Week 6 Rock and Roll Theme Week Monday night, October 25th, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
