Dancing With The Stars Season 11’s Bristol Palin has managed to stir the pot and turn the pages of gossip fodder in both the political and entertainment worlds. It’s not because she’s a great dancer who has floored everyone with her dancing skill, technique and ability.
But it’s the fact that the young lady has managed to eke her way into the DWTS’ Semi-Finals, a leg of the competition usually reserved for the most qualified dancers of the current Season that has got tongues wagging across America.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba spoke with People and offered her insight as to why the masses love Bristol and have supported her all the way to the semi-finals. Said Inaba, “Bristol Palin is somebody that I think most of Middle America and regular people can relate to.”
Inaba also added that Bristol is a “regular girl with normal problems and issues” and as a result, people can see themselves in her.

Many believe and have openly stated in comments sections of Bristol articles web-wide that it’s the fact that Sarah Palin is her mother that has gotten ‘Alaska’s favorite daughter’ this far in the competition.

Inaba, however, never mentions politics or connections when explaining why Bristol has arrived to the semis. Instead, Inaba told People, “I think the Bristol Palin phenomenon is amazing. I feel like she’s very relatable to the average person. She’s non-pretentious, very relaxed, and sort of non-affected by anything in this dance competition right next to all these amazing celebrities.”
And even Judge Carrie Ann Inaba believes that Bristol has a shot of ending up in the Dancing With The Stars Finals week which airs on Monday, November 22.
That, of course, depends on one thing Bristol must have to make it that far – not dancing ability or talent, but rather, the votes of America.
