Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday, October 18, on week 5 of Season 11, had a T.V. theme for performances. Scoring returned to normal this week on DWTS, back from the double scores given in week 4. The couples performed a wide variety of dance styles, from tango to rumba. The stars still in the competition were reduced to 8 contestants this week, as Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was eliminated in week 4. Which stars have a chance at winning it all? Which star was eliminated on October 19?
T.V. Theme Song
Each couple used a T.V. theme this week on Dancing with the Stars, which provided DWTS with many fun performances. Brandy and Maksim, the first pair to perform, danced to Friends. Florence Henderson and Corky followed with a The Brady Bunch theme, which brought Florence back to her days on the show. Third to dance on Dancing with the Stars were Kurt Warner and Anna to the tune of the television show Bewitched.
Audrina Patridge and Tony performed next on DWTS to the theme of The Hills (the television program Audrina appeared on.) Fifth to dance on Dancing with the Stars were Kyle Massey and Lacey to Charlie’s Angels. Kyle and Lacey’s performance received a mixed reaction from the judges, from Carrie Ann loving it (gave a score of 8) while Len hated it (and awarded a score of 5.)
Up next on Dancing with the Stars to the theme of Hill Street Blues were Rick Fox and Cheryl. Bristol Palin and Mark followed on DWTS with monkey costumes to the T.V. song from The Monkeys. The final performance of the night on October 18 on Dancing with the Stars were Jennifer Grey and Derek with the theme song from Married With Children.

Which stars stood out this week on DWTS? Who could win Dancing with the Stars?
Brandy performed very well this week. Her timing and technique in her dance were spot-on, and really showcased her abilities. If Brandy continues to perform at this level, she will be battling for the title at the end of DWTS. Her score was the highest of the night on Dancing with the Stars this week!
Although, Audrina Patridge’s dance this week was not as entertaining as her performances in the past on Dancing with the Stars and her score wasn’t at the top, her improvement in technique was evident. As long as Audrina continues to improve at the rate she has been on DWTS, she has a good chance of being a contender at the end of Season 11.
Both Kurt Warner and Rick Fox came out and upped their dancing game this week on DWTS. Although both Kurt and Rick performed well, they need to stand out a bit more to make it to the end of Dancing with the Stars. Both men have demonstrated their ability to progress and may be able to take their dances to the finale. Their scores, both 24 this week on DWTS, confirmed their improvement.
Jennifer Grey stands out as the star to beat on Dancing with the Stars. Even when receiving lackluster reviews after her performance this week, Jennifer and her partner still received a 25! This just demonstrates how GOOD Jennifer is on DWTS, and I believe, the title is hers to lose.
Who was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars?
Even after receiving her highest score of the competition, Florence Henderson and her partner, Corky Ballas, were eliminated on week 5, season 11 of DWTS. Although Bristol Palin received the lowest score for her monkey-suited dance, her fans kept her safe.
Tune in next week! Dancing with the Stars will be on Tuesday, October 26 at 8:00 ET on ABC.
