Dancing with the Stars 2010 Season 11 (DWTS) is in full swing – or at least it will be in a couple of weeks. Although its only been a few months since Dancing with the Stars season 10 aired, it’s time for season 11.
This time, the cast members are full of fresh faces, some of them arguably more popular than the season before. I must say that I am very stoked for what is set to be a season full of two-stepping greatness.
There are quite a few “stars” on Dancing with the Stars Season 11, and their dance partners are likely excited to work with them.
Here are the official pairings, compliments of TV Guide:
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
Michael Bolton and Chelsie Hightower
Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke
Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough
David Hasselhoff and Kym Johnson
Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas
Kyle Massey and Lacey Schwimmer
Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Margaret Cho and Louis van Amstel
Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani
IS it me, or am I the only one that thinks its ironic that “The Situation” is paired up with someone with the last name “Smirnoff?” Vodka and fist pumping…that sounds like a sure fire strategy for victory right there!
Derek Hough is the defending champion, and once again he gets the competitive advantage. Jennifer Grey is “Baby” from the hit 80’s classic “Dirty Dancing.” Will Grey and Hough have the chemistry that she and Patrick Swayze shared so many years ago? I doubt it, but I still think they have the big competitive advantage.
Tony Dovolani was paired with train wreck Kate Gosselin last season, and now he’s got hot mess Audrina Patridge from “The Hills.”
Bristol Palin is another exciting cast member, although I am sure more people are curious as to whether or not Sarah Palin will visit DWTS than actually watching Bristol perform.
Michael Bolton is also competing this year, and suddenly I am thrown back into my mom’s old tape collection. Perhaps it would be more interesting if Bolton still had his signature long locks?
The next fist-pumping, drama wielding, “Dirty Dancing” season of Dancing with the Stars starts on September 20th. It’s bound to be a great competition, filled with plenty of laughs and fun.
