Susan Boyle, the “Britain’s Got Talent” phenomenal discovery in early 2009 will appear on Dancing With The Star’s Tuesday, October 5 results show. Boyle will sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.
This is not Boyle’s first DWTS gig, however. Boyle appeared on Season 9 (remember, Kelly Osbourne, Donny Osmond-winner, Mya, etc.) where she performed ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ in November, 2009.
Boyle just recently made headlines when Lou Reed did not allow the Scottish songstress to sing “Perfect Day” on “America’s Got Talent”. Apparently, Boyle burst into tears after hearing that “Perfect Day” had only been approved for her performance on the British Talent Show and not the American version.
It’s reported that Boyle left without performing an alternative as she had not prepared anything else. But diehard fans who want to hear Boyle sing Reed’s 1972 ballad “Perfect Day” will have their opportunity when her second album, ‘The Gift’ is released on November 9.
Dancing With The Stars Season 11 has been chockfull of excitement and loaded with typical clamor with the shocking elimination of David Hasselhoff on Week 1, with many believing The “Hoff” had at least a few more weeks left him.
In Week Two, Michael Bolton was eliminated after performing “the worst jive in 11 seasons” according to Judge Bruno Tonioli. Bruno’s words prompted Bolton to demand an apology but DWTS producers have backed the Italian judge and no apology has been forthcoming.
