The emotional and behavioral traits that characterize David Archuleta changes day by day and at 19 he is an enigma. The diversity he entertains – twitters with the innocence of a teenager, interviews that reveal his maturity and wisdom and the common sense he shares about his career reveals his stretching as an artist as well as a person.
He is still learning about how he can be most useful in life and concerned about making sure what you leave is still here influencing other people. He is still trying to figure it all out. David feels that you don’t have to make a big show when doing good, it’s the spirit you have when you handle things.
As he becomes more introspective we learn he still has doubts about fan phenomenon and questions whether it normal or just weird. Fans are passionate, neurotic and fickle everywhere in the world. When you admire a celebrity, you’re engaging in a “parasocial relationship”, and the benefits of being a fan include increased self-esteem and better interpersonal relationships. David hasn’t experienced all the emotions to fully understand how some fans can gravitate towards him.
His dashing good looks, charismatic personality and talent along with a soulful voice sets him apart from the fold.
We should all take a clue from David when he speaks about his personal life that it will come when it’s the right time. He still has the genius of music to create and as he states, “No, I’m not into holding hands! I still think that’s gross!”
David has joyful gratitude, a cheerful spirit that never gets discouraged. Bearing fruit in every good work, the “fruit,” always and everywhere in Scriptures, is the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, and peace, in our relationships and actions with regard to others.
David moves and inspires us, we are bedazzled by him, his smile and his acts of kindness and generosity only reinforce why we love him.
A cappella tone and the words of a song have meaning of importance to David along with the melody. The sound covers the real magic not the processing and he loves the rawness and emotion that exists in the tone. He’ll continue to reflect on his journey, the challenges and triumphs through song and connect with his fans.
In less than two weeks we will have a remarkable album released, “The Other Side of Down.” Can life get any better?
