Advent is now here and soon it will be Christmas. Simple acts of love seems to fit very well with the season of advent and Christmas. Mother Teresa reminds us to open out hearts so they can be filled with only Jesus. This reminds me of the Mary as she was preparing for the birth of Jesus. How slowly Jesus was developing in her body so that he could be born for the world.
May we prepare for Jesus being more alive in our daily life. We need to look internally and see what we may need to change, throw away, or accept so that on Christmas we can truly sing Jesus Christ is born today Alleluia!
” Be faithful in small things because it is them that your strength lies.”
Sometimes we might be focused on accomplishing great things so we might be praised. It’s something we all have had to face. We are human. Mother Teresa is asking us to focus on those small situations where we have been able to show Gods love. It is then that we are able to grow in faith.
Making a bed for someone
Cooking them lunch
Giving a smile to a person who is down
Small things? Yes
But when given with love
can accomplish much
As Mother Teresa has said
” Do small things with great love.”
May we remember that the smallest act of love
can be the only time they see Jesus today
What are small acts of love we can do for others day?
What are acts of love people have done for us?How did it make us feel?
