There comes a time when a series grabs your heart and never lets you go. There also comes a time when an author does the same and that author is Debbie Macomber. She has a way and style of writing that grabs the emotional heartstrings and keeps you wanting for more. The last ten years, among writing other books, she has written a series of books in the Cedar Cove series that are gripping and emotional. The series is set in the Pacific Northwest, in the town of Cedar Cove, Washington, a fictional town that Debbie Macomber is often asked if it is real. It is not, but she modeled the town after her own home town of Port Orchard, Washington. She has enriched us, who read her, with creating a cast of characters that are intriguing and lovable. Debbie Macomber is a wonder and she is one of my favorite authors. She knows what her readers like and she knows how to go about grabbing a reader to keep them interested in a story. There will be more books in the Cedar Cove series because Debbie Macomber said so. Once you read one of her books, you will be hooked for life.
