She’s been working out some personal issues at Timberline Knolls rehab center, and it sounds like Demi Lovato will be celebrating Thanksgiving with her fellow residents.
Despite a recent rumor that the “Sonny with a Chance” babe would be getting out by next Thursday, her rep says she’s staying put.
“Recent reports stating that Demi Lovato will be out of treatment by Thanksgiving are false. While she would, of course, love to be home for the holidays, she remains committed first and foremost to her treatment.”
“Demi has made tremendous progress to date, but understands that she has more work to do. Unfortunately, the news outlet that reported this story originally failed to call us for comment or to fact check the story before it was printed.”
With their star taking some much-needed time off, Disney has reportedly adjusted “Sonny with a Chance” by focusing on the show within the show, called “So Random”.
A rep for the company told Variety that this will allow Demi “the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure. Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues.”
The move comes after Miss Lovato dropped out of the Jonas Brothers overseas tour and “decided to take personal responsibility for her actions and seek help. She regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future,” her rep tells.
