Similar to what Obi-Wan Kenobi did for Luke in the finished film. The princess is also taken hostage before her rescue by the rebel fleet, with a final battle ensuing at the end. It can be gathered here Lucas already outlined the rough beats for the film that later hit theaters a few years later on May 25, 1977.
He later reworked this concept into a rough draft revolving around a Jedi named Kane Starkiller, along with his sons Annikin and Deak. After an initial attack, The Starkillers go to investigate and learn The Sith were behind it, with Deak getting killed. Kane avenged his fallen son, before he and Annikin encounter the royal family of Aquilae.
Kane reunites with old friend and fellow Jedi Master, General Luke Skywalker and wishes for him to take Annikin on as his padawan learner. He is not able to do it himself, as his body is now purely cybernetic, except for his head and arm. He also goes to visit another old friend at the catina, a hairy monster like creature named Han Solo.
Around this same time a huge space fortress enters the system and two droids named C3PO and R2D2 escape in a life pod. They later meet up with Annikin and Princess Zara, along with her brothers Biggs and Windy.
