The Denver Broncos travel on their second consecutive East Coast game to take on another tough defense in the Baltimore Ravens October 10th. The Denver Broncos and Kyle Orton stunned the Tennessee Titans on their home field while the Baltimore Ravens are also coming off of an AFC North road win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in their last game without Ben Roethlisberger.

The Denver Broncos offense comes up against yet another tough AFC defense for the second week in a row. Kyle Orton and will need to work on his deep passing game in this game to take advantage of a Baltimore Ravens defense that is missing Ed Reed. Orton has found a groove in the short passing game and this won’t work against the Baltimore Ravens.
Orton’s short passing game will be effectively shut down by the Baltimore Ravens in the middle. Ray Lewis is the toll booth in the middle of the field for the Baltimore Ravens and any Denver Broncos player running across the middle will pay the toll. The Baltimore Ravens defensive line will also play a role in this game and they will be able to have their way with a worn down Denver Broncos offensive line. The Baltimore Ravens defense will shut down the Denver Broncos offense.

Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens offense has not taken wings as everyone expected in the off season. Flacco has struggled in the first four games but the Baltimore Ravens have managed their way around Flacco’s struggles and scored points. Another player in the Baltimore Ravens offense that has struggled is running back Ray Rice. Rice has been injured and ineffective to this point of the NFL season.
The Denver Broncos defense has been average at best and aside from Champ Bailey as their shut down corner, the Denver Broncos defense is an anonymous bunch. One key loss before the season began was Elvis Dumervil as the dominant defensive lineman who was out before the first game. The Baltimore Ravens offense should be able to have their way with a worn down Denver Broncos defense.

Everything points to the Baltimore Ravens having their way with the Denver Broncos but this game will be too close for comfort to bet a major amount on an 8.5 point spread. The Baltimore Ravens should win by 10 points but be careful with this game. The line should go down.
