If you have high expectations for the latest episodes of “Desperate Housewives,” you won’t be disappointed with the women of Wisteria Lane this season. Here are episode recaps for Episodes 1-4, from another car accident to a
Remember Paul? Episode 1
Season 7 starts out with a few new additions to Wisteria Lane. First, Renee Perry (Vanessa Williams) is Lynette’s college roommate who just popped into town. Obviously Williams, who just finished up a stint as former supermodel villain Wilhelmina Slater with ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” plays a good pigeonholed diva. We find out after meeting Renee that her all-star athlete husband left her for another woman, leaving her with nothing more than a killer wardrobe and a couch at the Scavos’. Second is Paul Young (Mark Moses), the creepy suspected murderer who makes a comeback in Season 6. Paul buys a house (or two) in the neighborhood and shows up with his new wife Beth. Will Paul gain the neighbors’ trust after all this time?
You Must Meet My Wife Episode 2
Bree is an eligible bachelorette, and her sudden jump in libido runs her into trouble-and into poor little Juanita Solis. Distracted while checking out her handyman Keith, Bree bumps into Juanita when she backs out of the driveway. Bree obviously feels bad, especially since her son had previously hit the late Juanita Solis, Gaby’s mother-in-law and little Juanita’s grandmother, who died on impact. Although Gaby’s daughter is fine, the hospital visit leads to some interesting news: Juanita isn’t the Solis’ daughter.
Truly Content Episode 3
Susan has a way of getting herself into trouble, but her missteps are always with good intentions. In Season 7, Susan and Mike move into a more affordable apartment so they can start paying off their growing debt. Susan wants to get back on their feet as soon as possible, so when the landlord suggests she work for Va-Va-Va-Broom.com as a sexy webcam housecleaner, she agrees. She gets anonymity, a hefty paycheck, and a few steps closer to a home on Wisteria Lane. The only problem is Stacy Strauss, who is jealous of Susan’s success. After a run-in at the laundry room and an onscreen catfight, the women finally make amends.
The Things That Counts is What’s Inside Episode 4
After finding out that Juanita was accidentally switched with another child at birth, Gaby and Carlos meet Hector and Carmen Sanchez, the parents of the Solis’ biological daughter Grace. Grace is definitely Gaby’s offspring; it’s clear from the signature foot stomp to her appreciation for designer purses. But when Gaby tries to give a Chanel purse to Grace, Carmen tells her off. On a side note, Susan finds herself in an uncomfortable situation after seeing her image on a billboard in town. Desperate, she decides to stop working for Va-Va-Va-broom.com…or does she?
Will multiple plotlines, we’re left wondering. Who is Paul really? Will the Solis family finally tell Juanita the truth? Can Susan ever save face…or money? Is there a future for Bree and Keith?
