Some thoughts from this episode:
I didn’t think this would be the case, but I honestly was not a huge fan of the “Wild Man” investigation in Cambodia. I’m not 100 percent sure why. But, I think it’s because the investigation seemed almost half-assed. They only searched in an isolated spot, at night (when you can’t identify anything) and only for one night.
I also found it pretty hard to believe the story about that girl spending 18 years in the jungle and it only added to my skepticism when the DNA results were inconclusive.
I did, however, love the investigation into a possible dinosaur in Zambia. Part of this was the fact they had to travel by boat just about everywhere, which, as always, led to some pretty funny scenes involving engine problems.
However, what really won me over was the investigation itself. They had something on camera that really did look like a dinosaur when we first saw it. But, unlike many investigations (including quite a few from this show) we were able to see exactly what they saw (it turned out to be a hippo).
Oh, and that was one very big crocodile. That alone would make me think twice about visiting that part of the world.
I do have to add one additional comment about this episode. I would not recommend watching this if you are eating or just ate something. I thought for sure my wife was going to puke when she saw Josh and his crew eating those spiders and it didn’t help when they ended up eating slugs later in the episode.
