When you are in a relationship, you expected to be treated the way you treat your partner. Women are especially sensitive and maybe even a little worried about their husband/boyfriend cheating on them. This can cause strain on the entire relationship, even if there is nothing going on. If you have been cheated on, you know how horrible it makes you feel. You often blame yourself and start experiencing self esteem issues. These questions are things you should ask yourself after being cheated on. This is not something you want to do, but it is something that needs to be done. You shouldn’t have to go through life living in the moment you were cheated on, it is not healthy or productive.
How Many Times Did This Happen?
While cheating may be an isolated event, chances are if he did it once he will do it again. If you take a chance on believing that this is a one time deal, don’t be shocked if in a week/month/year you find out he had another fling. If this is a constant occurrence, you need to find someone better that respects and loves you. There is no excuse for it happening once, let alone multiple times!
Has He Recognized How This Affects You?
Men are oblivious to most things in life and even if they notice, they ignore. Has your husband/boyfriend recognized what he did to you? If the answer is yes, you may have a shot at working things out. Keep in mind though, even if he has sweet talked you, there is a real possibility that he will repeat this behavior at some point down the line. If he hasn’t acknowledged the hurt and pain he caused you, he probably doesn’t even think he did anything wrong. It is time to move on and find someone who will appreciate you.
Are His Apologies For His Actions Or For Getting Caught?
Every woman would like to think that her man is genuine when he says he is sorry. What are his motives? If you believe he is genuinely sorry, you are one of the lucky women who may have a decent man who made a mistake. If you can tell he is only “sorry” because he slipped up and got caught, it is time to send him packing. You don’t deserve to be lied to or cheated on. There will be someone who comes along and respects you for you and won’t humor you just to shut you up.
