1. No more fast food or soda
Fast food and soda are horrible for your weight and your health. Big corporations like McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC and all fast food chains and most chain restaurants contribute to global warming and the spread of disease through their unethical business practices. They torture and inhumanly slaughter thousands of animals every day. Do something good for your health, our planet, and for animals and swear off fast food.
2. Shop at the Farmers Market
Most people don’t need to diet, they need to eat healthy food. Not all meat is created equal. The meat at the grocery store is full of preservatives, steroids, anti biotics and other things you wouldn’t expect to find in your food, not to mention the fact that the animals were tortured and often butchered alive before they were packaged and sent your local grocery store. Meat from the Farmers Market is local and fresh with nothing added and the animals live decent lives outdoors before they are killed. Meat and other food products that you buy in the super market come from corporations, not farms. 3. Move more – sit less
Studies show that the sitting down for long periods of time can detrimental to your health.
Not everyone has the time or the money for a gym membership. But that doesn’t mean you can’t sneak a little work out into your everyday life. Put your computer on the kitchen counter and stand up while you twitter, do leg lifts while you watch TV, lunges while you fold the laundry, or knee bends as you cook. It may not seem like much, but at the end of the year all those extra movements add up. A little extra movement throughout the day can make a difference in your daily energy level and even your mood.
