Meatball Mike’s is a restaurant in the neighborhood where I live, it’s a great family place and also at night, a lot of fun for adults. There is Karaoke on Friday nights starting at 9:00. I have watched, but there isn’t enough alcohol in the state to get me up there singing. Though I do admit, I do sometimes wish I could be as brave as those that get up and sing. They look like they are having a great time.
Meatball Mike’s is much more than meatballs, though they do of course make those and they are good. They do have contests to see who can eat the most meatballs, if you want to give it a try, call up and set up a time, I believe the record is 28 meatballs.
Each day they have a different special that is reasonably prices, they also have half priced appetizers during the week from 4:00-8:00. You could get full just off those. The menu offers Italian food, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, desserts. Speaking of desserts, they recently added fried apple pie to the menu, and a dough-boy dessert with apple pie filling, whipped cream, cinnamon, sugar and a bunch of other fattening but so good ingredients. I am going to give that one a try the next time I am extra hungry. Another new addition to the menu is the Cranston Fat Boy. A yummy sandwich, that I couldn’t finish in one day. It has sausage, peppers, onions, Cole slaw, french fries, and I think sour kraut too. It’s very good, I don’t care for sausage, but in this sandwich I liked it.
The staff is friendly and cheerful, the decor is inviting. You feel like you’re walking into a place to see friends when you enter. The bar seats have names on them, there are clothes hanging from the ceiling, pictures on the walls. A great place to go for dinner with the family or friends. Comfortable, and reasonably priced. You’ll have a great time and great food if you decide to visit.
