Disneyland Paris, a well known and famous theme park about 30 km east of Paris, is the second Disney Park outside the United States. The park attracts millions of visitors each year, making it the biggest tourist attraction in Europe.
On July 17, 1955, California became the world’s first Disneyland Park opened. After the opening of the park proved a slaant success, Disney Parks were in attendance. In 1992 in Europe as a Disney park opening: Euro Disney, now known as Disneyland Park. This park was a great success and today attracts millions of visitors each year. The Disney parks are entirely based on the ideas of Walt Disney. In 2002, in addition to Euro Disney, half park, Walt Disney Studios Park. The latter park attracted a lot less visitors and its continued existence was first questioned. The park was therefore only 10 sites out! Today the park is somewhat expanded, as the Disneyland Park itself anyway, so the visitor numbers rise.
Disneyland Park is the larger of the two Disney parks in Paris, in 566,000 square meters. The park is divided up into five themed areas, which are all about the central portion of the park. The central part is the area where the great castle of Sleeping Beauty is situated at the end of the set as Main Street USA. Basically now all the Disney Parks in the world characterized by a large castle, in our case of Sleeping Beauty, but it has also, for example Cinderella Castle in Tokyo. The five areas are neatly divided between the park and each have many attractions. The areas are: Main Street USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discovery Land.
Main Street USA, we find a reproduction of an old shopping street in America. Here you can shop and buy souvenirs main course Disneyland. In Frontierland, people with a predilection for the Wild West indulge. This is certainly the main theme of the Frontier Region. Here we find also a famous attraction, Big Thunder Mountain. Adventureland focuses on adventures in the jungle. This beautiful themed area home to the famous Indiana Jones Adventure and the amazing rollercoaster boat Pirates of the Caribbean. Fantasyland is primarily designed for children, but is definitely worth a visit for older people. Here we find especially Disney classics, such as Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, Pinocchio, etc. Finally, you can visit Discovery Land. This land is mainly decorated with attractions specifically aimed at the future. Thus we find the famous Space Mountain roller coaster shuttle.
Walt Disney Studios Park
This park was the second Disney Park in 2002 when the park attached. There were 10 sites, which are all aimed at making movies and cartoons, hence the name Disney Studios. This park is 27 acres and includes the area within five areas: Front Lot, Show Studio, Production Courtyard, Backlot and Hollywood Boulevard.
A well-known attraction in this park is the Rock ‘n Roll Rollercoaster, a roller coaster in the dark, where the visitor ends up in a music video. The roller coaster is very intense, because you are fired with a high speed. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is one of the newest attractions at Walt Disney Studios Park. This attraction has been open since 2007 and let the visitors think they make a free fall, so it’s a simulation.
If you are visiting the second Disney Park in Paris, should go to the Moteurs Action! Stunt show going. A nice collection of motorcycles and cars from dangerous antics, just like on a movie set. There are also many stunt men and women working for the show giving you a great experience.
Near the two Disney parks, seven Disney hotels housed. The hotels are of different style and all have a perfect accommodation. There are two four-star hotels: the Disneyland Hotel and Hotel New York. There are also two two-star hotels, the Newport Bay Club and Lodge Sequoai. Finally, there are three two-star hotels: Hotel Cheyenne Hotel Santa Fe Davy Crockett Ranch Hotel. Besides the seven hotels near Disneyland, there are another seven partner hotels, which are not maintained by Disneyland, but on persons to and from the park. These are: Hotel l’Elysée Val d’Europe, the Adagio City Aparthotel, Vienna International Dream Castle Hotel, the Magic Circus Hotel, the Thomas Cook Explorers Hotel, a Radisson SAS Hotel, the Holiday Inn Hotel and Kyriad.
