Since Sept. 15, ArtZone 461 Gallery on Valencia has been showcasing their AQUA: Art on Water exhibit and if you don’t hurry, you’ll miss it.
This is an interesting exhibit in that it doesn’t feature one artist, one form of media, one time period or one style. The binding characteristic here, of course, is water and fluidity. From the historical to the contemporary, oil paintings to wood cuts, you’ll see artists reference water in all its many forms. Showcased artists include William Wolff, Louis Siegrist, Lundy Siegrist, Mary Robertson, Gage Opdenbrouw and others.
Closing date is Oct. 17, so if you’d like to see this interesting mix of artists and media, don’t wait to check it out.
You’ve probably walked by ArtZone 461 Gallery a dozen times, but if you haven’t stopped in yet, it’s located at 461 Valencia at 16th Street in the Mission. Call 441-8680 or email info at artzone461.com if you have questions.
