No one wants to get dressed to go out in the winter for non-essential runs to the grocery store , the mall, to go visit friends or relatives, or anywhere that doesn’t require upscale attire. All these items can be combined to make one killer outfit without care or struggle.
Chunky Sweater – This is the a must-have item for the winter. The great thing about the chunky sweater is that it comes in an endless variety. Some are made so heavy that they can work just fine as a winter coat, while others are thinner and meant to be worn underneath a jacket. They work perfect thrown over a tank.
Off Shoulder Sweater – The go-to item for winter. Plain and simple with a smidge of style. It’s one of the easiest things you will ever wear, and it also gives the illusion that you actually put effort into getting dressed.
Thermal Tops – The thermal top is timeless. It can be worn under an fitted t-shirt or you can purchase a losse fitting thermal that’s maybe a size or two too big and wear it as a top on it’s own. It’s a cinch.
Skinny Cords – The pants of the future. These are not your mother’s Corduroys. This is an updated version that is sure to be around for a long time. This is THE grab and go item for winter. The relaxed fit makes for great comfort and gives you an alternative to jeans. I would suggest sticking with black and charcoal on this one. It comes in many colors, but one should never have the desire to run around looking like a skittle.
Sweater Leggings – Soft and trouble-free, sweater leggings are your regular leggings just made with a heavy sweater type fabric. Some are tight knit, some are thick cotton and some even come in prints. These are perfect. They slip on easily and provide extreme comfort.
Flat Over-the-Knee Boots – At the end of every winter there’s one item that I always find myself desperately needing to replace. My flat over-the-knee boots. I wear this thing everywhere and with good reason. It’s comfortable and they’re generally ver soft inside with a little bit of cushioning. You can run around in snow, rain, sleet, or whatever other weather disaster comes about. Shoes are the most important part of any outfit. A bad shoe choice can ruin even the best attire. Flat over-the-knee boots come in many varieties. You can go from leather to suede to fur and so many other options. The best thing about this is that almost all of them can be slouched down as low as you want or worn up high over the knees. Slouching is definitely a plus.
Wedge Heel Over-the-Knee Boots – They do the same thing and give you the same results as the flat over-the-knee, but with extra height. This extra touch of the wedge heel gives the illusion of being a little dressed up.
Wool Military Jacket – A military jacket is awesome for days that you just want to go. You can wear anything you want under this thing and button it up and run. You can also leave it open with a scarf draped around the neck.
Pleated Coat – This can go on over anything. It can be dressed up or down. Great coats like take all the fuss out of getting dressed, because it looks good over anything. Of course you can really do it justice by getting all dressed up, throwing on heels and a nice dress. That’s the gift of a coat like this, it gives you options.
Moto Jacket – A moto jacket is great for showing off your curves and showing a bit more of your figure. It gives a sexy edge to the simplest of outfits.
Mixing and matching all these items can be a lot of fun. You don’t have to worry about what looks good together or how to pair up anything. It all works well together. Everything is interchangeable. You can wear the chunky sweater under the moto jacket for a more layered look while still accentuating your figure, or you can grab any other piece and slap it together with whatever you want. You can now consider yourself styled fabulous.
