Make Clear Glass Candle Holders Sparkle with this Christmas Craft
This festive and easy Christmas craft will add a touch of warm sparkle to any clear glass candle holders. All that’s needed for this Christmas craft is clear glass votive candle holders, glue and gold glitter.
Pour out the gold glitter on a dispose work surface, such as wax paper or newspaper. Apply craft glue (clear drying type) to the outside of clear glass votive candle holders, then roll the candle holders in gold glitter. Work with one candle holder at a time, and set the glitter holder on a separate sheet of wax paper or newspaper until glue has dried. Add a votive candle to the glitter covered candle holder and light. The candle flame will create a sparkling glow in any room for Christmas and is a great craft idea for recycling those candle holders that fragrant, room deodorizing candles come in.
Fragrant and Colorful Christmas Craft Using Clear Glass Vases
Clear glass vases of all sizes can be used in this Christmas craft for home decoration or for a fragrant, colorful Christmas gift. For this Christmas craft, use varying heights of clear glass vases, Christmas colored ribbon, red cranberries and sprigs of rosemary and/or sprigs of fragrant evergreens. The trimmings from a live Christmas tree work perfectly for this craft.
When using tall, clear glass vases for this Christmas craft, apply a spiral of Christmas ribbon to the outside of the vases by attaching one end of the ribbon to the top of the vase with a dot of hot glue, then spiral wrap the ribbon down the vase (leave gaps between the ribbon spiral so the vase contents can be seen) and hot glue the other end of the ribbon to the bottom of the vase. Fill the tall vases with long sprigs of fragrant rosemary or evergreens.
Short, clear glass vases can be filled with the shorter sprigs of rosemary or evergreens and have a Christmas bow tied around the center. Attach the back side of the Christmas ribbon to the vase with a dot of hot glue to prevent the ribbon from slipping down.
Clear glass vases of varying heights will work best for this Christmas craft and will add a decorative Christmas touch to a fireplace mantel or table top when filled with bright red cranberries. Use several clear glass vases in varying heights filled with cranberries to create a decorative grouping interspersed with Christmas greenery.
