Eddie Long will be pressured to resign as a Georgia rally headed by another bishop is about to take place. Bishop Prophet H. Walker of the True Light Pentecoast Church in Spartanburg is behind the rally, assumed to be a huge event.
The Eddie Long scandal began when four men came forward naming themselves as victims of sexual abuse as teenagers from the mega church leader of New Birth Missionary in Georgia. The rally is designed to pressure Eddie Long in resigning for the alleged misdeeds he has allegedly committed.
The Eddie Long rally will be on Oct. 31 at Georgia’s State Capitol at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Walk strongly feels that Eddie Long doesn’t belong in the church. He says the charges facing him don’t make him the kind of Christian who’s beyond reproach and thinks he should do the right thing and resign.
Will this rally against Bishop Eddie Long make a difference in his position in the church? The rally in Georgia will make followers and skeptics alike show their strong feelings on both sides of the scandal. At a time when religious leaders are making headlines, this is another tragedy in the Christian world. It’ll be interesting to see how pressured Bishop Long will be in resigning his leader role.
