The Birmingham Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Patch will be held on October 24, 2010. The Pumpkin Patch will be at the Community House, and the Halloween Parade will begin at 4:00p.m. near Shain Park following the Pumpkin Patch. The Junior League of Birmingham will provide healthy refreshments, and all visitors are urged to wear costumes.

The festivities began around sunset on October 31st until sunset of November 1st. During the 1800’s, Halloween became a very popular celebration in this country, and pumpkins were carved as jack-o-lanterns. Children of all ages have enjoyed wearing peculiar costumes, and trick or treating continues to be the most anticipated activity for the Halloween celebration.
