Teresa Giudice, of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame, is upset because she is not receiving the same amount of pay as her fellow housewives. Why, you ask? Child labor laws prevent Bravo from paying her for the air time that her children receive, since they are so young. However, Caroline Manzo’s kids are of legal age and are paid for their appearances on the hit reality show. So, the Manzo family rakes in more dough than the Giudice family.
Should someone let Teresa know that a few extra thousand bucks are not going to solve her financial woes? Sure, it would be fair for the producers of Bravo to compensate her in some way for the involvement of her whole family on the show. But, if she’s looking for a college fund to be set up for the kids, as a possible solution, she should have thought about that while she was pregnant with the first one. It’s not up to Bravo to fund her children’s college educations.
Teresa appears to be the most interesting housewife to watch, as she creates drama wherever she goes. But, does that warrant additional pay? I don’t think so. It’s not like Caroline Manzo is pocketing the money that her grown children receive for the show. That is their money to do with what they please. So, in essence, Caroline is not making any more than Teresa is.
Oh, but it’s the principle of the thing. Manzo’s kids are getting dinero and Giudice’s kids are getting nothing. Hmmm…what’s a girl with $11 million of debt to do? I’d say she should take whatever she can get. And, if she doesn’t like the fact that her kids cannot receive any monetary reward for being on the show, she should just leave them out of the tapings. That’s easy enough, right?
Wow, it just keeps getting better with the ‘Housewives’ franchise. Next, we’ll hear that Guidice doesn’t want to be a part of the show. Then, what will Bravo do? They’ll have to bring Danielle Staub back to the show. Who doesn’t want to watch more of that crazy woman’s delusions?
On second thought, leave Danielle out. Let Teresa walk away. Bring Dina Manzo back. Wouldn’t the viewers rather watch those beautiful blue eyes than stare at evil black ones? I know that I would. And, I’m guessing that I’m not the only one who feels that way.
