Es Tanco’ is a restaurant in the San Rafael area of Ibiza. It is a very nice venue and it has two floors, the top floor is not extremely big but it has enough tables for half a dozen parties. The décor is simple, and the service is very neighborly friendly and some nights they actually have some live entertainment, like a one or two person show which gives the chance for the customers to interact. The prices of the place are very reasonable compared to different restaurants in the area or of the island itself.
The menus come in five different languages (Spanish, Italian, English, German and French) and the food is quite good and you can start with some bread, an aioli sauce and olives for 1.20 Euros per person; the sauce is delicious but garlicky so be aware. If you want some appetizers go with the fish soup with noodles for 10.50 Euros, or some fried octopus for 7.50 Euros. Or try one of what they call tortillas which are a sort of omelet such as the Spanish one which comes with onions for 6 Euros, or the one with scrambled eggs, mushrooms and shrimp for 8 Euros.
For their specialties you can order from the section that says minimum 2 people and the prices of the dishes are per person such as the mixed paella for 17 Euros, or the fish stew with rice for 28 Euros, or even the fideua, which is similar to a seafood and fish paella but in a stew for $18.80 Euros.
Some of the other specialties that they have (without a minimum of 2 orders) such as the honey glazed Ibizencan lamb for 16 Euros, or the cod au gratin in aioli and basil sauce for 16.50 Euros or even the monkfish casserole with belly pork for 24.50 Euros.
However you can also order from their meats or fish sections such as the meat feast which is a mixed grill for 17 Euros, or the lamb chops for 15 Euros and for fish go with the grilled salmon for 12.50 Euros or either the grilled prawns or mix grill of fish for 28 Euros.
